To Whom It May Concern,
Key Changes to Trust Law
We bring to your attention certain critical changes to Trust Law that will come into effect on 30 January 2021. The new Trusts Act 2019 is the first major reform to Trust Law in New Zealand in a very long time and places significant obligations and responsibilities on trustees.
If you are a trustee of a Trust, it is very important to review your Trust in light of the legal changes under the new Act and to ensure your Trust complies with same.
Accordingly, we recommend you contact us to review your Trust and / or discuss whether your trust is still necessary.
Please contact us for an appointment to discuss this matter.
Yours faithfully,
